Change my verification phone number
Keep the SMS or voice number used for 2-step verification and identity challenges up to date when you change phones.
- Sign in and open account security / 2-step verification settings.
- Find the phone method listed for verification.
- Choose Edit or Change phone number.
- Enter the new number and complete the confirmation code sent to it.
- Optionally remove the old number once the new one works.
Tip: If you no longer have the old phone, use a backup method (authenticator app or email) to pass the challenge, then update the number. If every method is gone, contact support.
Also update the profile phone under account settings so support can reach you.
