Cancel an identity verification method

Identity verification (sometimes called a one-time password or OTP challenge) protects high-risk changes like unlocking a domain or editing contacts. You can cancel a pending challenge if you started it by mistake or need to try another method.

  1. Stay on the verification screen if it is still open, or reopen the product action that triggered the check.
  2. Look for Cancel, Try another method, or a close control on the challenge dialog.
  3. If the session already closed, sign in again and wait a few minutes before retrying the same sensitive action.
  4. Confirm that your phone, authenticator app, or email inbox is available before starting a new challenge.
Note: Canceling does not remove 2-step verification from the account. It only stops the current challenge.

If every method fails, see the troubleshooting guide or contact Cyber Grapes support at 763-CGRAPES (763-247-2737).
