What's the difference between a domain, website, and email hosting?

These three products work together but solve different problems.

• Domain - the address people type (example.com). Registration gives you the right to use that name and control its DNS.
• Website hosting / Website Builder - the files and software that make pages appear when DNS points at your site.
• Email hosting - mailboxes like [email protected], with MX (and usually SPF/DKIM) records pointing at the mail platform.

You can buy a domain alone and point it at a site hosted elsewhere. You can also keep email at Domain Striker while the website lives on another host.
