My website was hacked. What should I do?
If your Cyber Grapes site shows spam, unexpected redirects, or a locked admin screen, contain the damage and restore clean files.
- Change hosting, FTP/SFTP, database, and CMS admin passwords immediately.
- Sign in to Cyber Grapes, open My Products, and open the hosting or Website Security dashboard for the affected site.
- Take the site offline or enable a maintenance page if malware is actively spreading.
- Run malware tools if included with Website Security, or restore a clean backup from before the incident.
- Update CMS core, themes, and plugins; remove unused extensions.
- Review DNS and email forwarding for attacker changes, then enable MFA where available.
Note: Keep copies of suspicious files only if you need them for investigation. Do not leave malware in the live document root.
