Add an A record
An A record points a hostname to an IPv4 address. Use it for your website root or any host that has a dedicated IP.
- Sign in and open the domain’s DNS editor.
- Select Add and choose A.
- Set the host to @ for the root domain, or a subdomain label such as app.
- Enter the IPv4 address your host provided.
- Save. Remove or edit conflicting A records for the same host if the UI warns you.
Tip: Domain forwarding may lock the root A record. Remove forwarding before pointing @ elsewhere.
